Online Registration Opens Tonight for Superkarts! USA SuperNationals XIII
Tuesday, 30 June 2009 22:10
As the United States battles through these difficult economic times, in which the karting community is certainly feeling the effects, one of the shining lights at the end of the tunnel for many of our sport’s competitors is the Superkarts! USA SuperNationals in Las Vegas, which is set for this November. Held directly on the grounds of the Rio All-Suites Hotel and Casino during the week of November 18-22, the annual karting festival promises to bring the world’s top shifterkart and TaG drivers together for another great week of competition and camaraderie. Work continues on the 13th edition of the SuperNats, and the race will take a big step forward tomorrow (July 1) as SKUSA’s online shopping kart will be open to accept entries on skusasupernats.com. At this time, SKUSA would like to announce the official class structure for this year’s event, so that competitors may lock in their entries before they are no longer available. Each class will be capped at 40 entries, except for TaG Senior, which will be open to 80 drivers. SKUSA officials are also excited about the opportunity to release news of the availability of additional rooms at the Rio for the special event rate of $79 per night.

SuperKarts! USA Announces Return to Rio for 2009 SuperNationals
Friday, 22 May 2009 00:00
At what was largely considered to be the greatest karting event in North American history, the Superkarts! USA SuperNationals XII elevated the event’s prestige when it returned to the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas last November. Now, looking ahead six months, the organization is gunning to trump the previous edition of the program’s marquee race. SKUSA’s Tom Kutscher is pleased to announce that the 13th edition of the SuperNationals will return to the Rio on November 18-22, 2009, with a number of improvements scheduled to be unveiled prior and during this year’s event.

“The 2008 SuperNationals was a huge success for karting and for SKUSA,” stated Kutscher, looking back at an event that was the product of six months of work. “Without the hard work and dedication of the entire staff, both on and off the track, and those competing, the event would not have been possible. With last year’s event now in the SKUSA history books, we have a better idea of the challenges and opportunities that we face at this tremendous venue. With some fine tuning, we’re looking to make this year’s event even more spectacular – and one not to be missed!”
